Playtest #2
Thank you to Sue, Katie, Sydney, Carly and Cece for playing and giving feedback!
New Rules:
Every player draws 8 color chips
The first curator is chosen at random, you could use the spinner
Curator plays a “scene” card face-up
All players play 3-5 cards that they feel best represents that scene.
Curator decides which color palette is the most associative for them of that scene.
Whoever played the chosen palette gets all of the color chips and becomes the next curator.
All players refill their hand so that they have 8 color chips.
Feedback:
Idea to make the game more anonymous
Could play the cards face-down so that there is more of a reveal.
Option to create a rule book with multiple games, that way you could play many different types of games with the same deck and color chips
What if you put the color cards back at the end of each hand and just noted the number of points that were being collected.
Likes the variable point system.
Someone wondered if there was a way to learn into the variable point system even more
Someone mentioned that the palette were really interesting, and could the palettes be documented?
Design thought: make them square or circular.
What if there was the chance to explain you palette? Or maybe when the curator chooses the palette then they would be able to explain why they chose that one.
*Observation: People liked being able to lay out their palettes in expressive ways.
