Our House is a retelling of two plays, Our Town by Thornton Wilder (1938) and Middletown by Will Eno (2010), told from the perspective of a woman who has just passed away. This interactive theater proposal takes place at the historic Lexington House in New York’s Catskill mountains. We propose to tell the story of the protagonist’s life through quotidian life-fragments displayed on densely hung monitors installed throughout the house and through audio recording triggered by the visitor’s location.
