Gallagher & Associates Internship
Role: Exhibition Design Intern
Year: 2020
Technology: Vectorworks
While interning for three months with Gallagher & Associates in the exhibition design department, I worked on a variety of different client projects from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History remodel to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial renovation. While working on these projects I had the opportunity to utilize different technical skills including Vectorworks 3D modeling, material researching and hand sketching.
Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on a summer-long project with the interns from the graphics team, Allison Miller and Yunni Yang. We created a conceptual package for a new New York City botanical garden called New York’s Secret Water Garden. In this garden we chose to make elements that are normally invisible visible. We focused on the irrigation system for the garden: rather than hiding this, we uncovered it and put it on display for visitors to interact with and learn from. I worked on concept development and exhibition design.
