Step 1 - Brainstorming

I will be working in a group with Katie Han, Sydney Meyers and Chang this semester focusing on archeology. We found two archeologists who may be able to work with us, Katherine Welch who is working on a site called Aphrodisias in Turkey or Matthew Adams who is working on a site called Abydos in Egypt. We contacted both of them and are now waiting for responses.

In the meantime we began brainstorming about what types of exhibits we would like to make. We started by thinking about techniques and exhibitions we have seen and think would be an effective way to communicate.

Our main questions:

1. How do we make antiquity feel relevant?

2. Why should people be interested in a far off time and place?

3. How can we solve the problem of working with ancient artifacts that we do not have available to us?
