Again, Persistently - Unity

I made a Unity project based on a series of paintings I am making called “Again, Persistently”. These paintings are about the relationship between man-made objects and the natural world.

I had a project idea a while ago to make a scene with highly direction light in a room with arches with a table set with animal heads at all for corners, it would have a surrealist/ De Chirico-esque look, see sketch below:

I tried to make this scene in Illustrator but what a really wanted was for the scene to be 3D. After using Unity for this short animation project I think it is the perfect platform to make my scene! But for our animation class I made a scene that is a little different (but still in the surreal realm) using photos from small parts of much larger paintings. Below see screenshots from the scene I made:

Its pretty amazing to see my work in this new way! I am super excited about the possibilities with Unity. Below see paintings from which I grabbed specific portions for this Unity project:

I know this is only the tip of the iceberg with Unity so I’m excited to continue using it!
