3 Analog Serial Readings
This week I worked on making a circuit with 3 analog serial readings. According to the lab we were supposed to use the accelerometer. I was having trouble figuring out the new accelerometer compared to the old ones that are documented in the lab. I ended up testing 3 other analog sensors - the potentiometer, the photo transistor and the force sensor. This was a good test for me to remember how to build circuits with these three different sensors:
The photo transistor needs a 220 ohm resistor and the short leg goes to + (rather than the short leg of an LED going to - ) and the analog read to the MC goes between the long leg and ground.
The potentiometer has 3 legs; Input (+), Output (connects to MC) and Ground (-).
The force sensor has 2 legs. I had trouble figuring out if one is positive and one is negative. I haven’t ever been able to get an accurate reading from the force sensor. I am not sure if mine has an issue or if I am not building the circuits correctly. Either way, I know that the analog read happens between the negative leg and ground.
